Superposition
Stine and Teit, an intellectual Danish artist couple, decide to leave the hustle and bustle of Copenhagen for a quieter existence in a remote Swedish forest, their little son Nemo moving with them, of course. There they hope to rediscover themselves and each other, but soon something strange appears to be going on in the forest. For instance, Nemo is absolutely convinced that his mother is not his mother. Things get even more uncanny when they meet their neighbours, people who look exactly like them....
'Superposition', a term from quantum physics, occurs when two different but similar phenomena come together, such as vibrations and waves, and then interfere to form one phenomenon. Danish director Karoline Lyngbye takes this phenomenon as a starting point in this exciting story, her feature debut for which she wrote the screenplay herself together with Mikkel Bak Sørensen. In essence, it is a story about finding yourself - in multiple and sometimes very disturbing ways - a story full of mirror images.
